5/23 Complete the Desk Organizer project and present!

At this point in the desk organizer project, your team should have completed modeling the individual pieces and assembling the product.

Please annotate each hand drawn multiview with the name of who actually modeled the piece in Inventor, and on the multiview of the whole product, who assembed it.

Completing this project entails 6 more tasks:

1. creating a cropped image of your assembled desk organizer,

2. creating a multi-view drawing using the KCS title block of the assembled desk organizer, with the 3 size dimensions.

3. creating an animation of your assembly for me to view, and

4. creating an exploded view drawing of your desk organizer with balloons and a parts list.

5. updating your presentation with the image, the multi-view of the assembly, the animation, and the exploded view drawing.

6. giving a 5-minute presentation about your desk organizer.

Following are steps 1 - 4.

Create an image of your assembled desk organizer:

1. Open the assembly file, zoom in as much as possible, and take a screenshot (hit the PrtScr key).

2. Paste this screenshot into Microsoft Paint.

3. Crop the image so that all you can see is the desk organizer.

4. Save this to your Z: drive as a JPG file, with a filename of deskOrganizer-image.

To receive credit for this assignment, insert this image in your presentation.

Create a multi-view drawing of your desk organizer assembly and include the 3 size dimensions:

4. Add a text box and add the scale to the correct location in the legend on the bottom of the drawing.

5. Add the 3 size dimensions - width, height and depth.

6. Save the drawing file

7. Export the drawing as an image, in GIF format.

- save it into your Z: drive with a filename of organizer-animation

- in the Export properties window, select an image size of 320X 240, click OK

4. Add balloons to each piece by clicking the Annotate tab above the ribbon, pulldown on the Balloons tile on right side of the ribbon and select Auto Balloons. Select the options until OK is active.
